Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant

Do you have knowledge of personal care, safeguarding and/or dealing with challenging behaviour, and would like to put this to use in an education environment?

A fully-inclusive College in Sunderland is looking for a nurturing individual to join their Education Support Team, working with their SEN learners to ensure everybody can achieve their potential.

The forward-thinking College are keen to ensure all students have the ability to thrive academically and socially, and aim to deploy a compassionate Teaching Assistant to allow their students to succeed.

Job Specification:

• Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
• Work closely with students aged 16+ with a range of complex needs and other acute SEND
• Assist students with personal and academic challenges to allow them to thrive
• Manage challenging behaviours and emotional regulation of students
• Previous experience dealing with Personal Care, acute SEND and challenging behaviours
• Ability to time-manage, multi-task and adapt flexibly to changing situations
• Mon-Fri 8-3.30pm
• £450-480 per week
• Interviewing immediately - the successful applicant will start as soon as possible
