Are you an Engineering Leader ready to take the reins in a high-performing, fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're partnering with a leading Food & FMCG business in the North West to find a strategic and hands-on Engineering Manager who can drive site performance through strong leadership, robust engineering processes, and future-facing investment.
This is a site-critical leadership role with a direct impact on production efficiency, asset reliability, and long-term infrastructure planning. You'll lead a skilled engineering team, own the maintenance strategy, and manage end-to-end delivery of multi-million-pound capex projects - all while embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
The Role
As Engineering Manager, you'll:
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team
Deliver and manage capital investment projects from concept to completion
Own the preventative maintenance and reliability strategy
Embed world-class CI initiatives across engineering and production
Drive engineering performance KPIs including downtime, OEE, and efficiency
Ensure compliance with H&S, food safety, and regulatory standards
Collaborate cross-functionally to support wider operational goals
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a senior engineering role within Food or FMCG manufacturing
Strong track record of leading Capex projects and engineering strategy
Technical expertise in asset care, reliability and preventative maintenance
Passion for continuous improvement and lean methodologies
Exceptional people leadership and team development skills
Engineering degree or equivalent (HNC/HND considered with strong experience)
A hands-on leader who can balance strategy with day-to-day operations
