Position: Education Finance Officer
Location: Altrincham
Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

KPI Recruiting are currently seeking a Finance Officer on a temporary basis to join a well-established organisation based in Altrincham, with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring compliance with Financial Procedures, the Academies Financial Handbook, and the Funding Agreement.

Assisting with the operation and monitoring of accounts and budgets.

Managing the safe receipt, handling, and banking of cash and cheques.

Completing administrative tasks related to orders, invoices, BACS payments, income, and goods/services distribution.

Ensuring staff follow correct procurement procedures and achieve best value.

Processing orders, verifying available funds, and handling invoice processing.

Managing authorisations, chasing non-deliveries, resolving queries, and reconciling supplier statements.

Processing payments with correct authorisations, including cards, cheques, and BACS transactions.

Issuing petty cash payments while ensuring receipts and required signatures are obtained.

Recording and banking all income accurately.

Processing and reconciling bank and charge card statements.

Assisting staff with financial queries, including order placements, supplier comparisons, and value assessments.

Liaising with suppliers, contractors, budget holders, and other organisations to address queries.

Monitoring income and expenditure for trips, producing detailed reports for Trip Leaders.

Assisting in maintaining inventory records, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.

Supporting the evaluation and development of financial systems and procedures.

Providing assistance during year-end accounts and audit processes.
The Successful Candidate Will:

Have previous experience in an education setting.
-
Be willing to undergo a DBS check.
-
Have proven experience in a finance role.
-
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
