CNC Turner & CNC Miller Required

Oldham 8am - 4pm Mon - Fri (early finish Friday)

£17 to £18 per hour

Our client is seeking experienced/skilled Turners & Millers to set, operate and program 2 - 5 Axis machinery to produce precision-engineered products/parts & components. Projects will include bespoke orders and 'one offs' for their clients.  This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Operate, set, and program CNC milling or turning machines
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feed rates for machining operations
• Inspect and measure finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
• Adjust machine settings and make necessary modifications to achieve precise tolerances
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Work closely with the production team to meet project deadline

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller & Turner in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Proficiency in CNC programming (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or Mazak)
• Strong understanding of machining processes and materials
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a machining environment
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or machining
