CNC - Sliding Head Setter/Operator/Programmer

Paid break - £16 – £21ph

The Company

Growing technology and product enterprise manufacturer.  The company develops & manufactures environmental technologies for commercial and domestic customers.

The Role

• Operate designated machinery safely and competently, ensuring all HSE and housekeeping standards are maintained
• Interpret engineering drawing, manufacturing components to set tolerances
• Perform QC checks on components as required by manufacturing specifications
• Knowledge of modern tooling and machining techniques with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Operating CNC Sliding head & Swiss CNC
• Programming - The ability to read and edit programmes

Essential Qualifications/Experience

• CNC sliding head experience advantageous
• ISO Programming (Mitsubishi)
• Fanuc Control
• CMM knowledge
• Able to interpret engineering drawings
• Experience of working with CNC programmable lathes
• Citizen bar feeder knowledge would be advantageous
• Experience on CNC programming: 4 years (required)
• ISO Programming: 4 years (required)
• CMM: 4 years (required)

Desirable Qualifications/Experience

• Participation and understanding of Continuous Improvement activities
• Knowledge of 5S and lean principles would be advantageous
• Time Served to City & Guild level
• Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
• Sliding head: 4 years (preferred)
