Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide pragmatic support and advice to contract and operational teams on site with delivering ecological requirements to programme, budget and quality standard. Job Description
As HSEQ Manager, you will support projects to meet the requirements of the Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Management systems. You will report to the Head of HSEQ for your area. You will support the site teams and managers through your inspections by recognising hazards and seeking to minimise risks whilst creating, maintaining, and improving health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Promote Occupational Health & Wellbeing
- Support the provision of Health & Wellbeing within the business, under the direction of the Head of HSEQ & HSEQ Director, with support from the Company H&W Advisor.

HSEQ Advice and Support to HSEQ Advisors

Head of HSEQ
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of HSEQ to lead our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) initiatives. This is a critical leadership role, where you will manage and support HSEQ Managers and Advisors to ensure the effective implementation of HSEQ Management Systems and corporate strategies.
You will lead initiatives such as the Be Healthy & Be Safe Plan, Be Sustainable Be Green Plan, and Front Foot Safety. Working closely with the HSEQ Director, you will drive improvements, ensure compliance with legislation, and enhance the HSEQ culture within KPI Rail.
Key Responsibilities
Occupational Health
- Promote Occupational Health & Wellbeing within your region.
- Support monthly health themes and initiatives.
Team Leadership
- Provide guidance, leadership, and support to HSEQ team members.
- Oversee HSEQ performance statistics to identify trends and develop proactive initiatives.
- Champion Be Right First-Time initiatives and monitor quality control measures.
Collaboration and Client Support
- Act as the primary HSEQ representative for client support within your region.
- Build strong relationships with client HSEQ teams, fostering collaboration and best practice sharing.
Accident and Incident Management
- Lead investigations to identify root causes and implement preventative actions.
- Prepare and distribute HSEQ alerts and reports to ensure continuous improvement.
HSEQ Monitoring
- Conduct regular site inspections and leadership visits.
- Ensure legal and HSEQ compliance across all facilities and projects.
Training and Development
- Review and maintain the Health & Safety and Environmental Training Strategy.
- Mentor and develop HSEQ team members.
About You
You are a confident leader with a passion for Health, Safety, and Environment. You thrive on driving improvement and embedding best practices.
Essential Criteria:
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
- CEnv or equivalent (Associate IEMA desirable).
- Extensive SHE experience in civil engineering, with rail sector experience advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of quality control and HSEQ management systems.
- CSCS Safety Professional card.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to build strong relationships and lead teams effectively.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
