- Spooling, measuring, and cutting to length of steel wire rope from the master reel as per customers requirement
- Fitting of various end terminations to rope ends via different methods including the use of a hydraulic press and resin-based material
- Supply of all relevant accessories
- Labelling and packaging of all goods for safe and secure despatch
- Ensure Environmental procures are complied with and issues raised with Manager as necessary

The duties and responsibilities as a Saw Technician are:
- Set up and operate sawing equipment to cut aluminium and stainless steel according to specifications
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements
- Select appropriate saw blades, adjust cutting speeds, and position materials for precise cuts
- Monitor sawing operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety protocols
- Perform routine maintenance on saws, including blade changes, lubrication, and adjustments
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimise downtime
- Inspect finished cuts for defects, accuracy, and compliance with quality standards

The ideal candidste for a Saw Technician would need:
- Previous experience as a Saw Technician or a similar role is highly preferred.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining various types of saws used for cutting aluminium and stainless steel.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings and late evenings,

Key Duties:
- Loading / off-loading vehicles that include rigid / 20ft / 40 ft trailers
- Loading / off-loading containers / trailers with the use of dock levelers
- Use of stretch wrap machines for wrapping pallets

The Role :
Our client is a leading ceramics manufacturer, dedicated to producing high-quality pottery and tableware. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and excellence, they take pride in every stage of our production process. We are now looking for a Glost Selector to join our Client and ensure only the finest finished products reach our customers.
Role Overview:
As a Glost Selector, you will be responsible for inspecting and selecting glazed ceramic pieces (glost ware) to ensure they meet quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of ceramic defects, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Hours
Monday to Friday
8am - 4:30pm
Pay
£11.44 - £12.38 per hour - DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect fired ceramic products for defects such as cracks, glaze faults, or discoloration.
- Select and grade products based on quality standards.
- Remove any substandard pieces and report defects to the production team.
- Handle and stack glost ware carefully to avoid damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work closely with the quality control and production teams to improve product consistency.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in ceramics, glazing, or quality control is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot imperfections.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
