Scott takes on the London Marathon to raise funds for Alice Charity

On 27th April 2025, KPI Recruiting Stoke Branch Manager Scott Allan will be taking on a challenge he’s never faced before; running his first-ever full marathon. And what better event to do it in than the world-famous London Marathon?
“I was incredibly lucky to secure my place through the ballot (over 840,000 people entered this year!), and my initial focus was simply on figuring out how on earth I’m going to run 26.2 miles,” said Scott. “After some thought, I decided to turn this challenge into an opportunity to make a difference. I reached out to a local charity that does incredible work supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged families across Stoke-on-Trent; Alice Charity.”
“Alice Charity provides vital help in our local community, offering services like food banks, group sessions, play activities for families and toddlers, parenting support, school assistance, and so much more. As a father, this mission resonates deeply with me. It’s heartbreaking to know that some children face challenges beyond their control, but charities like Alice Charity work tirelessly to offer these families hope and support.”
“While my relationship with this charity is still new, their work has already inspired me, and I’m proud to be fundraising on their behalf. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a massive difference to the families who need it most. Your support means the world to me and will keep me motivated through every mile of this epic journey.”
“Thank you so much for reading, for donating, and for cheering me on as I take on this challenge.”
