Finalists announced for the Staffs Chambers Business Award for Hospitality, Leisure & Tourism.

Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards has announced finalists for the Hospitality, Leisure, and Tourism category which is sponsored this year by KPI Recruiting.

The businesses fighting it out for the crown are: Doubletree by Hilton, Heaton House Farm and Aston Marina. The award celebrates companies that embody excellence in diverse aspects of the sector including:

  • Customer experience & satisfaction
  • Service innovation & creativity
  • Setting industry standards
  • Minimising environmental impact
  • Positive contribution to the local economy

KPI’s HR Executive Sarah Mainwaring, who is part of the judging panel said, “Heaton House Farm, Aston Marina and Doubletree by Hilton have all proven they are worthy finalists by demonstrating key attributes to match the award’s criteria. We have seen some brilliant innovation and determination to drive excellent customer experiences.”

The award winner will be declared at the Staffordshire Chambers Gala Awards evening, at the Doubletree by Hilton, Festival Park on Thursday, 4 July.

Nominations for finalists for other awards on the night which have been announced so far include:

  • Innovation, Science, & Technology:

  • Learning & Development:

  • Medium/Large Business of the Year:

  • Digital:

  • Entrepreneur of the Year:

Daren Durkin (Trentham Foods), Natalie Hewitt (Hewitt & Carr Architects), Wes Wilkes (Ironmarket)

  • Sustainability & Environment:

Brown Recycling, Euro-matic UK, TMT First.

  • Employee of the Year:

Joe Eyden (Stoke-on-Trent College), Connor Gibson (Johnson Tiles), Tom Ives (Lila Connect).

  • Start-Up and Step-Up:

Chatty Duck Creative, Eagle House, Pro-tech MOT & Automotive Academy

  • Responsible Business:

Leek Building Society, Stone Group, Water Plus.

  • International Trade:

Barkers Engineering, Hygan Products, Dupre Minerals.

  • Small Business of the Year:

Hewitt & Carr Group, J G Fenn, Semantics 21, The Retrofit Academy CIC.
